Draw made for Field of Waterloo book winner announced

Our promotions across Alternative Armies and 15mm.co.uk to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Waterloo are now over. I would like to thank all of you who placed orders for Flintloque and Slaughterloo codes and Brickdust codes as well. We wore out three sets of molds of the 59010 Slaughterloo Monument and we made many thousands of 15mm Napoleonic miniatures too. Packages are winging round the world and the last of the orders from the promotional period will be coming out next week at this time due to the order volume. In the meantime...do you remember that for extra fun I was going to hold a random draw to win one of my own books?

Well the draw has now occurred! Here to remind you was what I said back a few weeks ago:

I have a copy of 'The Field of Waterloo' by Paul Davies published by Pan in 1970 to go along with the Waterloo movie starring Rod Steiger and Christopher Plummer; one of my favourite films of all time. Its worth about 10.00GBP and its in good condition and while it contains nothing unique it is rather rare as it was a promotional paperback. I am going to randomly draw an order number from all qualifying orders placed between 15th and 29th June on Alternative Armies and 15mm.co.uk and then mail the book to the winner! A qualifying order means products from Flintloque, Slaughterloo on Alternative Armies and the Brickdust 15mm Napoleonic range on 15mm.co.uk of any value. The draw will be blind from a hat and the winner announced. I wanted to mark this anniversary in my own way and to make it a bit more fun.

A winner has been drawn! The winner will get the book in the mail most likely by the end of the week along with a short note. I have also emailed the winner to let them know their luck.

Our winner is a fine lady in the UK named Katie Lucas! Well done Katie!

Bring on July!

Thanks for Reading.

Their numbers were few and compared to the standing armies of the empires and federations around them they were weak. To ensure their survival the mythos of the Norsemen was incorporated into their now accelerated gene beast research. This new force allowed the now Star Viking peoples to mount raids vital to their development and in time they grew strong and corrupt. Using the few human soldiers they have well most raids are carried out by the gene ripped creatures from massive factories on their world. Among them are Battle Boars of legend, Stocky Dwarves of mythos and vile goblinoids of lore. Lastly the huge Battle Giants pieced together for combat. SHM Alien Animals on Magpie and Old Lead Blog

"How Much Is That Creature In The Window...?"  "...The one with the wiggly pseudopod."

An awesome fun posting this time from the gang at 15mm.co.uk.  Over on the Magpie and Old Lead Blog blogger Axiom put up a posting this spring showing his collection of creatures for use by his 'Xeno Pet Trader'...what a hoot!  You can visit the posting HERE.  Its really good and well worth a eye chewing from your good self.

The pets in question came from several sources but among them and noted were 15mm creatures from our SHM Range.  These included the following which though meant for 15mm scale do work in other scales too:

SHM25 Little Krators.
Three Young Aliens. This code gives three miniatures randomly taken from three poses of small Krator. Each stands approx 6mm tall and is one piece. Krators are vicious predators who hunt in packs and are quite capable of eating through the toughest walls and armour with their row upon row of needle sharp teeth. Great for colonist games or deep space encounters or even near future or present day games on Earth.   There is also SHM26 Krator if you want a bigger nasty.

SHM23 Eyetaran
The Eyetaran is native to many world among the Galactic community and is something of an engima. Some feel it was once sentient and others that it was spread among planets by an ancient star faring race. It seems an calm creature but it is capable of forming packs and hunting down prey as large as small groups of humans. Keep an eye on it!  Perfect for your alien safari's, hunts and objectives

SHM74 Human Faced Helmith
Can your sanity survive an encounter with the Human Faced Helmith!  Sharing the features of a man and a snake with the evil of both this is a perfect creature for your Eldritch or Post-Apoc forces.

We have many other creatures such as the Lesser Flesh Shoggoth, Gecko Guy, Thing of the Abyss and the Tentacle Brain Monster.  You can see all of these on our website in the SHM Range. HERE.

Einar Olafson paints up the Ikwen

Sometimes a customer surprises you.  A pleasant surprise came to us at 15mm.co.uk last week when talented figure painter Einar Olafson sent me a link to some posts on his blog where he had painted up Eli Arndt's miniatures the Ikwen from the Loud Ninja Games range. You can visit Einar's first blog post on the Ikwen HERE.  Done off his own back in his own time Einar showed his vision of just what Ikwen would look like coming from an imagined dry desert and scrubland world.  The front views are above and the rear views below.

Visit Loud Ninja Games page HERE.  This is a refined link to show only Ikwen.

We offer the Ikwen sculpted by Roderick Campbell in packs and as a value platoon set as well which has a small saving.  The platoon is the most popular choice and the Ikwen are proving a favourite with those looking for an alien race to act as militia and poor seconds to richer more advanced invaders to fight a holding action against conquerors. Personally I see those invaders being another part of the LNG range the YanDrassi whose three alien race army look just the part for aggressive attackers of an innocent world somewhere in the galaxy.

Well done Einar!

Thanks for Reading.
